Breakfast Challenge

Its been awhile since I last suap DITC with nasi lemak in the car. When my office was in twin towers and there was no duke we will get stuck in d jam and I will have plenty of time to feed him. Nowadays we will normally have breakfast near my office sebab kalau nak bersuap tak sampai 5 minit we would reach my office.

But today, i didn’t have time to have breakfast with him as I need to rush home early to get the kids ready for their movie dates.

The challenge is obviously the sotong…

kenapalah….

Its been a very hectic 1st quarter for me. As much as I strive to swallow it all and maintain good manners when dealing with people around me but at times I sort of slip and it makes me really sad because I have surrendered to the whispers of Syaitan.  Even though I don’t prolong it but I didn’t manage to refrain myself at the start when I should be patience and control myself in fear of Allah. (selalu dah marah baru nak menyesal dan istighfar) it should be istighfar and control anger kan, like the hadith below.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by a woman who was weeping beside a grave. He told her to fear Allah and be patient. She said to him, “Go away, for you have not been afflicted with a calamity like mine.” And she did not recognize him. Then she was informed that he was the Prophet. So she went to the house of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and there she did not find any guard. Then she said to him, “I did not recognize you.” He said, “Verily, the patience is at the first stroke of a calamity.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari – Book 23 Hadith 372

Maintaining good manners is not easy especially when having to deal with all sorts of people in today’s world. It takes a second to get angry with another person or to behave in a snobbish manner without realizing it.

The Prophet (pbuh) , being as human as he was, was also conscientious of how he behaved in public. He made sure he remained humble by supplicating to God to bless him with the best of manners:

“O Allah! I ask You for good health, for trust, for self-control, for good manners, and to be satisfied with the divine decree.” (Al-Bukhari)
